Firetap - Anchorage

The food at this restaurant is fantastic. The sandwiches are huge, I mean really huge. I enjoy large portions of food and this place does not disappoint. The service was a bit slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy. However, I recommend giving it a try if you haven't already. The chicken pot pie was delicious and satisfying.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a chill evening. The potato skins appetizers are a hit, and everything else we've tried has been tasty as well.

The food, particularly the pretzel appetizer, was delicious. The pizza was good, but not exceptional. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the slightly burnt crust and powdery flour on the bottom. I found it necessary to dust off the slices before eating. Interestingly, the last piece of pizza remained untouched in the fridge for a few days. Despite my thoughts, my wife enjoyed her pizza, as she liked the slightly burnt taste. The atmosphere and service at the restaurant were excellent.

We 've ordered take out from Firetap many times in the past year and I 've always ordered the French Dip and it has been good, which is why I keep ordering it. Today, however, it was horrible. The bun was old, dry, and crumbly. They tried to heat it up and the 'skin ' was peeling off the top. The London Broil was clearly simply roast beef that was cut too thick and was dry. The potato wedges were also old, dry, and hard. My husband usually gets the BLT pretzel but decided to get the French Dip as well and both sandwiches (at $20 a piece) ended up in the garbage!! We would have been better off getting deli beef and french bread from the grocery store!
