Carlos Mexican - Anchorage

Only came here for the margarita flights, it didn't disappoint. Also tried their tequila flight as well. Both were amazing, giving that I don't really like sweet drinks. My two favorite has to be the spicy margarita the mango.

Ok, Jalapeno's. I see you. For years I drove by this place and every time the parking lot would be packed. I would wonder about the food, and today I found out what all the fuss is about. The flavors! I mean the chips are light and warm, the salsas have chunks of yumminess and such wonderful fresh flavor. The guacamole! A delight. I ordered the two chili rellenos and a horchata. The food was delicious. The service? Fantastico!!! She managed to make me laugh a couple of times after my long day of work. I loved the music, the decor and the other customers seemed so cool. I wish I had stopped in to Jalapenos sooner. Next time, I will try a flight of five halibut tacos. The taco flights look fun. Enjoy!

Not a bad place to stop and have lunch or dinner. I think it 's a bit overrated. You get one bowl of chips, mild and hot salsa, after that you pay for another bowl. Not ideal for more than 2 people. My fiance got their 'Muy Macho ' Platter. It was alright, his taquito was hollowed, and not a fan of the enchilada, but the tamale was good. Beans and rice were fantastic, in my opinion. I got their Carne asada mini tacos. They were pretty good, served with onion and cilantro. I ordered salsa verde on the side. They serve their Margarita on ice, didn 't see any options for blended but it was still really well made. Not rimmed. Worth going back if you 're in the mood and in the area.

The food was full of flavor and so delicious! Piping hot and satiating. Large portions. Good quality ingredients. Friendly staff. Comfortable environment. Highly recommend!
