Khorika, a few years ago, was a culinary delight. The best assamese food I have had was there. But my recent visit in February, with family, was a disaster!I then came to learn that the original chef of Khorika had left and opened his own restaurant called 'Heritage Khorika' on Maniram Dewan Road, behind Goswami Service Station. The assamese food there is excellent. Friends,who I have recommended the restaurant to, have returned there again and again as food served there is truly delicious. Assamese food is one of the finest in the world. It is simple and the flavours are mild. It requires a discerning palate to enjoy the nuances in the various dishes served. I would recommend that one does not leave Guwahati without tasting assamese food at Heritage Khorika!

We were in Guwahati for just a day and a cab driver (he was actually the owner too) recommended this place. He said this place serves authentic Assamese food. Ambience was ok. Two of us had veg thali and three had fish meals (price is around 200 for fish meals). I should say that the veg food was delicious (we are from South). My wife said the fish taste was different and not the best (perhaps the variety of fish may be very different). We are glad that we could have this food. Yes the service is not quick- this is not a fast food chain.

The food quality was good tested. But the pitika not upto mark. But it was good place for having Assamese cosines food.
