Raindancer Steak Parlour - Amsterdam

I hadn't been to Amsterdam in a while, so I decided to revisit an old favorite, and it lived up to my expectations! Food: 5 stars, Service: 5 stars, Atmosphere: 5 stars.

Delightful spot! The food is typical, nothing particularly memorable. The booths are all tall-walled, providing a wonderful sense of privacy. Overall, I would rate the food a 3, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4.

The Raindancer aims for a fine dining experience with its atmosphere and attitude, but unfortunately, it fails to deliver in both food and service. I ordered the Penne a la Vodka with an added sausage for an extra $4.99. The sausage was subpar—frozen, cube-like pizza topping— and quite frankly, disgusting. I tried to remove the sausage to salvage the dish, but its unpleasant flavor had permeated the entire dish, making it inedible. To make matters worse, the pasta itself was overcooked and tough. My wife opted for the Mushroom Burger, which turned out to be dry, flavorless, and not cooked to the medium doneness she requested. On a positive note, my parents were satisfied with their meals. However, for a restaurant to serve such low-quality sausage in a pasta dish is simply unacceptable. I brought my concerns to the waiter, but he was unable to assist me in any way.

We had our 75th Birthday Party for our graduating class there. The two servers handled our party of 34 quickly and efficiently. I had the prime rib and it was delicious. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Plenty of parking
