Best Italian food in Upstate, hands down! Absolutely love this place.

Excellent meatballs, fresh bread and pasta. The lasagna was very good with delicious sausage however, it was lacking the correct amount of ricotta/cheese to balance the strong yet delicious sausage flavor. Eggplant parm was very good as well. I was disappointed that Vodka sauce was not offered as a menu selection. Pricing was fair. The service was immensely friendly the way it should be when eating out. The restaurant is small yet worth it overall.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while traveling! A wonderful surprise ... Excellent appetizers (house greens); fresh salad with delicious dressings; enormous, splendid main courses (gnocchi, eggplant); and yummy dessert (chocolate mousse cake). Great prices, great portions, great food. Friendly staff. I hope our travels take us in this direction again soon!

Very small portions. The food is just ok. Small inside but they did a nice job with the decorating. If nothing else was open on the south side we may go back. We went the second week they were open. So that could of had something to do with it.

Was not disappointed both times I ate at L'ultimo. I chose the Eggplant for my first meal which was thinly sliced, lightly breaded and stacked high with delicious red sauce. On the second visit I had the linguini with white clam sauce. It was the best I've eaten in a long time with fresh clams bathed in olive oil, garlic and parsley sauce....so yummy. Mrs. Parillo's homemade bread was also a hit along with her delicious Italian dressing on our fresh salads. In addition, the bar service was terrific.......thank you, Megan. The place is small and the bar a tad bit uncomfortable as there is no foot rest when seated. This is a minor inconvenience for such delicious fare. I am in and out of Amsterdam regularly am confident this will be our go-to restaurant from now on. Good luck Parillo family with your new south side restaurant addition.
