Boot Hill Bar Restaurant - Amite

Yesterday at Boot Hill for a work dinner. The plant is notch! The attention to detail is incomparable and the kitchen is impeccable! The small touches (silverware quality) were also not missed. Overall the atmosphere they created, transport to another time (in a good way). A time when the focus on quality vs quantity and a time where service meant something. Overall, Boot Hill is a real estate for the small town of Amite and I cannot wait to go back! Get off the intermediate landing and try it on your next trip to the north.

I didn't expect much. No big fan of Italian. But the veal pip I got was excellent! I'll come back and eat it again. The only knock I have against this place is a terrible beer selection. They would think with some good local breweries, they would take the opportunity to show them. You have a great whisky choice that I will give them. Our waitress was great and kept my drink full! They had live music the night we made reservations. Management even helped a group beside us with a surprise cake for a birthday. Overall I am happy to come back

We stopped at lunch on Saturday, not knowing what to expect. We were blown away with the decor when we came in and sat right away. Although we don't drink, we admired the beautiful bar. The bathrooms are also great! We ordered the special that was extraordinary!. And the presentation was top notch. If you get the chance to stop, you should definitely say to Mary the owner.

We pulled into Amite on a Saturday evening after a full day of traveling and was welcomed as soon as we opened the door. Our waiter, Cole was helpful and friendly. We ordered drinks and a full spread of appetizers for our party of five and before we were finished with those the owner, Mary came to greet us. Told us that they had just recently opened the restaurant, about six months prior and that they were still building their reputation. She kept us entertained all evening and by the time we left, a couple of hours later, we had met about half her family as well as a few local notables. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food and drinks are delicious and the cost is very reasonable. We will definitely return for more fun, while we stay, in Amite. A wonderful addition to the dining options in this sweet town.
