Used to love their annual Chili food competition, in the 80s. Not sure they still do, but her chili is always great!
Great place to go with a group or yourself. They always make you welcome. The best thing about diving bars. Great chili in autumn and winter!
As a local, I'm ashamed to say I've only been here a handful of times. However, the service is always wonderful and the drinks ice cold!
Went to TipTop for the first time for Halloween had an absolute blast! The staff was so friendly, and the vibe is very different than anything else in Ames. As a 26 year old going to a drive bar I felt very welcome and would recommend Tip Top over any bar. PS the bartender Casey makes the BEST **** Mary’s!!
