Monroe's Hotdogs Billiards - Americus

This place has the best hotdogs you can find anywhere. It has been a favorite of mine since I first visited as a child. While they no longer have a pool, the food is still amazing.

The hamburger steak dinner is excellent. They have recently added new entrees to their menu. They are particularly busy between 10am and 4pm, especially during lunchtime.

Monroe's is a destination for us when visiting family in south Georgia. We simply adore the hot dogs and on this trip, since we missed Monroe's so much, we went twice and it was great, both times.

This was my first time at Monroe's. It is definitely not my last. It was like going to the Varsity in Atlanta. Very busy but the staff is quick and efficient and friendly. There were patrons that had been going there for years,bringing their children and parents to have a quick lunch. The food was delicious!
