I am biased, I have to admit, but bastien really knows his coffee and tee.
Hidden down the side of a restaurant on the main strip, this coffee shop is a real hidden gem. We sat outside and had cold brew coffee, their new ginger ale and a lemonade. The barista showed us the coffee that was used in the...cold brew (much appreciated given that i'm now going to buy some and was very attentive throughout. This is the kind of place you want to see being massively successful but hope that it'll always be your private spot when you go in.
You've been walking the streets, trying not to bump into the other tourists, and your brain is screaming at you that you need caffeine. Sure you could sit down at any of the tourist traps on the main drag, that would be easy. Or, you...could take the walkway down the side of Chez Bruno and enter a hidden wonderland of fantastic coffee, pleasing background music, and an oasis garden. And yummy cake. And no crowds, although once word gets around the smarter tourists like you will start flocking here in droves.
We were never big fans of coffee in france, it's just not right. I don't know why, it's just not. we drink it anyway because caffeine is caffeine. we were thrilled by the look at eight clocks, as it was on the trendy ones. small caffes reminded of sites like shoreditch in london. that was as good as a cup of coffee as I was travelling continental Europe! wellted we found it on our last day before we returned to london.
