Taverna Syrtaki - Amberg

We went in here spontaneously because in our favourite restaurant there was no more space free. the staff was very friendly and had a place for us. afterwards the restaurant (Friday evening) was very full, so the previous booking is recommended. the food was brought quite fast and was very meat-loaded (as expected from the smell) with little tear. it tasted very good, and also the tzatziki was delicious. before we got the (obligatory) ouzu.

Fresh meals but their rice was a little bit weird about like its texture was sticky and overcooked. Lots of free uzo !

The menu offers a fine range of Greek food, from mousaka to lamb shank. In fact, there are four entries for lamb shank on the menu, depending on the sauce and side you want with it. The service is excellent. Despite my assurances that I could use a German menu, the waiter insisted I have an English one. The meal starts with a shot of ouzo and ends with another shot of a pink liquor. I can easily recommend this restaurant.

We don't feel like guests, but like friends. every desire is fulfilled, eating perfectly prepared, competent staff, price-performance ratio is absolutely right.
