Whataburger - Amarillo

I have to say that today (11/30 at 5:23 am) this location had the perfect staff on duty. Our food was spot on—no mistakes at all! Everything was outstanding, and the girl at the window was extremely friendly. I didn’t even have to repeat my order. Many thanks to the team working right now. A solid 10 out of 10!

The wait at this location is terrible. I arrived for breakfast around 5 am and spent about 15 minutes at the drive-thru window after waiting in line for approximately 10 minutes beforehand while the car in front of me was being served. The staff member who took my order at the speaker made me repeat my order four times. If you're in a hurry, I definitely recommend avoiding this place.

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The burger was fantastic—definitely one of the top five I've ever had. However, the milkshake was just average and I found it overpriced. The staff didn’t seem very focused on preparing my meal; I was the only customer in the lobby and still had to wait 20 minutes for a double cheeseburger (without tomato) and a milkshake. All of this cost just $4 less than what I typically pay for a 3x3 cheeseburger and a Neapolitan shake at my favorite restaurant, where I rarely wait even 20 minutes, even with a line of 20 people ahead of me. I would return for the burger quality, but overall, I wasn't very impressed.

My church group from Nashville visited this restaurant today with over 50 teens during peak lunchtime hours. Despite the crowd, the line moved surprisingly quickly, and the staff handled our large group with impressive poise. We received our meals within five minutes of ordering, and they were delivered right to our table. An employee also roamed around to ensure we had all the condiments, napkins, and anything else we needed. This was the best fast food experience I've ever had in terms of both service and value. All our orders were correct, served with a smile, and we were all extremely satisfied!

I absolutely love their green chili burger! The food consistently tastes fresh, and the staff are very courteous. However, the drive-thru lines can be a bit confusing and don't leave much room for traffic to pass through.
