Metropolitan Steak Seafood - Amarillo

Popped in here for a sneaky cocktail and are so glad we did. Such a gorgeous speakeasy, beautifully decorated and super engaging staff. However, the cocktails here stole the show. We ordered the Corpse Reviver and The Tracy both were amazing, super punchy and very well balanced. Special thank you to Paige and James for looking after us :

Ok, so come here for the food. It's good. We stopped by for brunch on a Sunday and sat on the patio. Weather was perfect so we figured, why not sit outside!? The flies were really bad out there. Our waitress did a good job trying to mitigate it by clearing plates from our table as soon as we were done. I had the waffles with quail. I almost didn't order it because the menu said it came with 2 quail quarters. Two quarters is only half a quail, which would not be very much meat. Luckily I went ahead and ordered it and it was actually 2 halves (one whole quail). It was nicely presented and tasted really good. I finished both the quail and the waffles. I highly recommend that dish.

Four of us for dinner last night. Service was excellent and entertaining however we all agreed we've had better steaks for the price. Disappointing.

I took my husband there for his birthday dinner, and we were not disappointed! Everything was amazing! From the birthday confetti on the table to the candle in the crème brûlée, they definitely made the night memorable. My husband ordered the Zealand Lamp Chops and I ordered the Prime Filet, both of which were delicious! Our waiter was amazing as well. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I just enjoyed a stellar experience at Metropolitan. From the first step in the door where we saw the beautiful bar, the tables, the speakeasy vibe to the last bite of dessert...absolute perfection. The service was friendly and professional. The food was creative, well executed, and exceeded expectations. The owner and executive chef both stopped by our table to gather our feedback. We were just passing through Amarillo on our way home, and we were so pleased to have found such an amazing place. It was worth every penny and more. It will be worth the drive from home (6+ hours) when we come back.
