Longhorn Steakhouse - Amarillo

I returned to the restaurant on 11/11/17 for dinner before the WRCA Finals and was impressed with the excellent service and food. The restaurant was packed as well. The barbeque ribs were very good, but I was disappointed with the dry and tough filet. This was a big letdown compared to previous visits. I had a similar experience at another restaurant last weekend, which led me to consider asking more questions when ordering to avoid disappointments. Overall, I am sticking with a 2.5 rating based on my experience on 6/3/16. Although the filet was quite good this time, the service was extremely slow and almost rude, and the lobster was also dry and tough. It seems like there may be some issues with poor training at this restaurant.

My partner and I had our much-anticipated date night on Saturday at this restaurant we had never been to before. With my background as a waitress for 8 years, I always pay attention to details when I'm serving guests. The waiter, Shelby, really impressed us with his attentive service and care for his craft. Our dining experience that night was one of the best we've had in a while. Excellent job!

We arrived early on New Year's Eve after reading good reviews. We were greeted and told there would be a 10 minute wait. We enjoyed a glass of bourbon while we waited. Our table was ready shortly after. The bartender and our waitress were both attentive. I ordered the chopped steak with mushrooms and gravy, which I have to say was the best I've ever had. My husband had the 6oz sirloin and grilled shrimp over rice, and he also enjoyed his meal. Thank you to all the staff at the restaurant, we appreciate your hard work. Happy New Year!

These guys have a LOT of competition in this area. I was impressed with the decor, and the service and food wasn’t bad either. Enjoyed our time here. Would certainly recommend it. My only criticism is the limited choice of sides.

Food is really good i live the pork chops. Con is the asparagus was large and a little tough. The smaller asparagus is usually more tender and flavorful. Brussel sprouts were good. I will eat here again because it is a very good place to eat. Love the bread and cold beer.
