Ichiban - Amarillo

This is not the kind of restaurant you go to if you are ravenous. The food will take a very long time to arrive. The service was fair only because there was one person serving ALL of the tables and the register. (Poor thing) My rice bowl had mushy rice midway down and the mushrooms tasted odd. I frequent this restaurant often. For sure once weekly, sometimes more. It never gets old! It is a crammed little restaurant but always worth the wait because you know the food you’re getting is always fresh and hot. There’s always just one server but she works HARD and makes sure you have everything you need. Some of my favorite dishes: ichiban fried rice, beef pad thai, gyoza (appetizer) but the love of my life is the ichiban ramen. so flavorful. so comforting. everything you want in a bowl of ramen. i’m obsessed with this place and you will be too!
