Taberna Do Miranda - Amarante

Very good fresh local food. The server was very friendly, we had fried sardines, cod cakes, rice with beans, fries, bread and olive oil, white local wine and port. Everything was excellent and very cheap!! Highly recommended.

Wow! The simplest, yet freshest and most delicious local food! Plates are mostly tapas style, order 2-4 per person. Since every dish is freshly prepared, be perhaps a bit more patient. However, the owner himself will tend to you. Every single dish we had was truly wonderful in its simplicity, quality and flavor.

The restaurant is located in one of the historic street of amarante. small square with only 4 tables, eating is amazingly fresh and tasteful. we had corizo smoked, polinos (manufactured with codfish, pataniscas (manufactured with codfish to codfish salad (together!) 1 bottle. water, 2 glasses of “vinho de la casa”, which made a fresh sparkling home made wine that was really good. we paid 15.80€ so for the quality it is cheap! we definitely recommend!

We were with a tour group 9 of us so it was pre-ordered that we were eating here. the personal was so nice, quite possibly could be a family (mom/dad/son.) they kept eating out. we couldn't eat anymore. I don't eat sardines, but everyone. if they were the best they ever had. menu has a lot of shady food. they also have a full barber/wine/liquid.

Wonderful little restaurant in amarante with very attentive staff. we had grilled chorizo, padronenpfeffer, leber with tweepers, sardines, codfish balls and tomato rice. everything was delicious!
