This is a winery with great views and even better wines. I don't know of any other local wineries that have Super Tuscans; yet, I found two super fantastic ones at Il Gioiello Morse Wines.I recently had the opportunity to attend a small private event at this winery and love the ambiance, the staff, and the fellow knowledgeable wine lovers who also consider Il Gioiello Morse Wines to be their favorite go-to winery. I highly recommend taking the road less traveled (Fiddletown Road to Tyler to Lawrence) where you can still bring a picnic and enjoy some FABULOUS wines!!
We discovered Roberts winery 15 years ago and have been coming up ever since. It’s our very favorite place; great wines, and an education by the winemaker and owner he’s the real thing! Beautiful scenery, great hammock, bring a picnic and enjoy.
Robert is both owner and winemaker. So fun to chat with someone so unpretentious and knowledgeable. It's great to have a shop on Main Street in newly gentrified Plymouth. And his wines. Wow! We walked out with four bottles, but next time they might just be cases. Good value, too! His Il Gioiello vineyards up the road will be our visit next time.
It's always a beautiful thing to visit Morse Wines/Il Gioello here are their vineyards and tasting room. However, this tasting location has temporarily closed because of the OPENING OF THEIR PLYMOUTH TASTING ROOM! Stay tuned because this is just temporary while they settle staffing and amenity challenges. DO visit their new tasting room called The Vines Tasting Wines located at 9383 Main Street, Plymouth. They're open Fri., Sat., Sun. with later hours on arrangement. All of the Morse Wines are available (Morse Wines, Il Gioello, and Two Roads) in this easy-access spot. We look forward to returning to the Fiddletown vineyards at Morse Wines very soon!
