Albar Snack Bar and Restaurant - Alvor

Excellent service, we went for lunch twice which was delicious! My son had the spaghetti carbonara both times. We had chicken piri piri and a cheese and ham omelette, with lots of chips with each. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the work go by!

Ate here a couple of times during our stay in Alvor. Really enjoyed our meals. Pleasant staff and good service. Didn't have to wait long for a table opted to eat inside due to the strong, cool wind. Generous portions. I would definitely give this place a try we found the recent negative reviews to be totally unfounded.

Food was terrible. Baked potato was slightly undercooked and apparently the Portuguese steak wasn’t great either. Staff didn’t check back on us during our meal and seemed really busy so we felt like we couldn’t bring these issues to their attention. When clearing the plates, my parents expressed that they were unhappy with the food and the waiter responded rudely and just stormed off when they asked for the bill. I’m a waitress too so I understand that people do have bad days, but the waiter’s attitude was horrific. Very poor customer service. On the upside, there is a nice outdoor seating area which is great during the nighttime. I recon this place would be good for drinks but definitely wouldn’t recommend for food.

We just wanted to have some juice and I saw they had fruits displayed so I went in. It turned out to have horrible service as some of the reviews said. I should have read them first. The waiter tried to move us to another table because they didn’t want to clean the one we were sitting on. But ironically the other table was also not clean they just collected the dirty dishes and didn’t wipe the surface which was dirty. Also the waiter misheard my word and he was trying to teach me the simple English word

Nice venue but terrible service which surprising as the place was full. Food was below average at best. No apology or explanation from the staff until asked, no check in. Looked like only way to get any service was to complain
