I must say the place is elegant, well staffed and with an impressive selection of seafood, all with special seasonings and cooking methods. My family mentioned something they had tried before and that they liked, this was the Taco Gobernador . I tried it, and in my opinion it was more like a Quesadilla , but it was tasty and well prepared. My order was a Mariscos Soup , and a Seafood Salad which according to the waiter, it could have different types of fish (grilled, smoked, etc). Everybody else in the group ordered fish fillets prepared in special ways, and Grilled Octopus. Unfortunately my soup looked very thin and poor , just a broth with a few seafood pieces and some hard vegetables. It tasted like it had been re-heated for a long time. This was a real disappointment considering the cost, 215 Mex. I have had much better seafood soups for lower prices. A second disappointment came with the salad I ordered. It just did not look like a salad at all, it was more like a mashed potato cupcake, small, and with barely a look of vegetables or fish in it. I did not eat it. However, everybody else in the group seemed quite happy with their fish and octopus plates. There is no doubt in my mind that the salad was in the minds of the chefs a modern salad version with traditional ingredients, but it was not what I wanted and it looked unappetizing to me. BTW, when the bill came, the salad was not charged which in my mind is the decent thing to do. My best interpretation of this experience, is that the modern styles of this restaurant are not for everybody, and I have no doubt that many people accept the food with great delight. My final recommendation to all is to examine the menu carefully, and if possible look at any photos of the food you intend to order. That will prevent surprises like those mentioned above.
I have never had such bad quality os sea food, I dont know if it was only my table but everyrhing I ate was not just bad, it was terrible, I would never come back in my life and I wouldnt recomend anyone to come here unless it is some type of bet and you lost.
We went with friends to their branch in Satellite, CDMX. This a restaurant chain from Sinaloa with Mexican North Western Pacific seafood. We had shrimp cocktail, taco gobernador and fish Los Arcos (au gratin with seafood). As desserts Tsunami (chocolate tiramisu with craime anglaise) and banana pie. All very good. To drink white wine, lemonade and pineapple/guava juice. At tend a nice cappuccino. In summary a very nice lunch.
Ok then, food wise is very good, I've been there several times, on business, family and friends, so it works on all those occasions. Food quality (freshness) is very good and service is quite friendly etc. Kids area really poor, only a screen for films and 3 cheap playing tables with basic activities for kids, it still works. Valet parking tried to cheat me with my change, typical when you pay with a 200 pesos note and they pretend you gave 100. Then they scratched my brand new car and they didn't say a thing until I arrived home and saw the scratches in the front bumper, too late to complain for Mexican culture, I am 100% honest on this one!
I am surprised by the bad reviews... my husband and I were invited by local friends and the food they ordered (to share and as a main dish for each of us) was fresh and delicious. The three different ceviches they ordered were incredibly tasteful. I had the camarones con salsa de mango (large shrimps with mango sauce): excellent!
