S&s Sandwich Shop - Alton

Hard to believe because we have no excuse for trying this for the first time yesterday and it’s so close to home… Delicious! These types of old school, nothing fancy but the amazing food are what make small towns like Alton part of a larger conversation! Of note there were 5 local law enforcement officers getting their lunch and one of the regulars seated said ‘you’re back again today?!’ Anytime you have a following like that, it speaks for itself. There were all ages and genders coming and going. Staff was spot on! This is a successful business model, Alton- take note! Rusty Voumard, Rueben and the Watermelon salad!

Hands down the best sandwich shop in the 618 area. One of the few places I know the food will hit just right everytime.

Absolutely phenomenal little sandwich shop! My friend and I were waiting on an appointment at Anderson's next door, so we decided to pop in for a quick lunch.

Had the pig on a wing... Not even close, hands down, best tasting sub sandwich for the price of any place in the area. Packed with meat and the freshness of everything on it was incredible.. sammi sauce was amazing as well...

The food was amazing and so was my first experience here iam definitely coming back four more!!!!!! 5 stars aren't enough
