It's located on the corner of State Road 436 and State Road 434, a quick 5 minute walk from my condo. It's right next to Walgreens, which is one of the stores I frequent the most, so I was constantly aware of the packed parking lot, the outdoor seating with fans, and the drive thru window.I think the drive through paired with the fact that I had never heard of it made me judgemental. The fact is, I was missing out on a little taste of heaven for the first few months I was here!PDQ is a family ran restaurant, and it is a million miles away from the typical greasy, low quality, cheap fast food chains. It has some of the best chicken tenders in town, and definitely the best that you can get from any drive through, at any place, anywhere in the world. They are amazing. Plus, they have their own line up of signature PDQ sauces, including BBQ, Ranch, Honey Mustard, Ketchup, and of course, the famous PDQ sauce! And don't leave without grabbing an order of their waffle fries! Whoever said McDonalds had the best french fries obviously hasn't tried PDQ's waffle fries. I can get a large with one of their dipping sauces and be totally content with just that as my meal! They really are that good. Also a delight are the world-class milkshakes. They don't come in an overwhelming variety of flavours, just your usual strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, and oreo cookie, but they are heavenly. Topped with whipped cream and a cherry. The perfect ending to a perfect, filling, hearty meal. The restaurant is open 7 days a week,, but they do close earlier than most drive thrus, I think 10 PM at the latest.Inside, the dining room is pretty large with ample seating. It is ALWAYS squeaky clean, and there is almost always a line. The drive thru moves pretty quick, regardless of how crowded it iss. The employees are fast accurate, respectful, and hard working. The outside area is also nice and clean, with the high powered fans doing their job to keep the patio cool for guests. All in all, don't pass up a good thing when it's nearby. PDQ is the BEST chicken restaurant in all of Orlando. Grab the fam and give it a try. You won't regret it!Vegetarian options: They have filling waffle fries, salads, milkshakes, soda, and a few other side dishes that make up the vegetarian options. It's not super extensive, but you can still get super full from the waffle fries with a dipping sauce, a milkshake, and a side salad!Kid-friendliness: Their kids menu is very affordable and it has plenty of decently portioned meals. It's definitely a family-friendly place- from the indoor atmosphere to the outdoor seating with overhead fans to keep it comfortable. Also, they have very cute, kids-sized milkshakes-the perfect treat for your little one.Parking: It's located next to Walgreens and a pretty big shopping plaza, so there's TONS of parking all around the restaurant. Plus there is a drive thru.Wheelchair accessibility: The lot has plenty of handicapped parking spots, the restaurant is located on the ground floor (only one floor), ramps on the sidewalk and into the restaurant.Dietary restrictions: They have a kids friendly menu, vegetarian options (as I mentioned), but I am not sure about vegan choices or gluten-free dishes. You can, however, go to their website and download the full menu to access all of the ingredients used in each menu item as well as the dietary information before you go to the restaurant to make sure they have options for whatever your dietary needs are.
This place is way overrated. My chicken sandwich was full of gristle and I couldnt even finish it. It's way too much chicken for a sandwich anyway, i would've had to use a fork. The waffle fries also tasted really bland.I had high hopes for this place but it looks like I'll be sticking with CFA.
My daughter's and I went into PDQ for their first ever experience there. The sauces were delicious and my younger daughter thought she was in heaven. We got the spicy chicken sandwich, the honey butter sandwich and the chicken strips. All hot and delicious. Special shoutout to Anthony A who had such patience at the register.
We are here eating an excellent grilled chicken, but the most important was the first attention. Karen took our order with patient, friendly the best experience in a long time. Thanks Karen 5 Stars to you
