Despite the advertised closing time of 8:00, it was only 7:15 and the reviews were positive so we decided to give it a try. The interior was cozy with a few tables. When we approached the counter and mentioned it was our first time, we were met with indifference by an older woman with short hair who simply pointed to the menu and asked for our order. We decided on the $29 special of jumbo fried shrimp along with other items and 2 lemonades, totaling $104. As we were about to leave, a man from the kitchen informed us that they forgot to pack one of our items. Rather than apologizing, the woman hastily shoved the box into our hands. She then followed us to the door and loudly announced that it was time to clear the tables, including the one we had been sitting at. To top it off, she promptly locked the door and turned off the lights at 7:47, a full ten minutes before closing time on a Friday night, giving off the impression that customers were not welcome. We have been supporting restaurants and small businesses throughout the pandemic, but the rude treatment we received at this establishment was shocking. Rest assured, we will not be returning.
The Po Boy sandwich was mediocre, the meatless wings were low quality, the lemonade was just ok but not fresh. We had to wait a very long time, 20 minutes! Save your $45 and go to a Korean roast chicken restaurant for better options.
I ordered one pound of garlic shrimp and was charged for it, but received barely more than half a pound. The food scales are not accurate. Paying $27 for this was disappointing.
I had already eaten half of the catfish nuggets before I remembered to take a picture. The portion size was surprisingly large and it was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and fast. I was a bit surprised to see that there were only two tables inside the restaurant. It is located off of Pulaski by Jewel. They offer a variety of flavors for the catfish nuggets, such as Cajun, lemon pepper, and jerk. Additionally, they have freshly baked cookies, fruit smoothies, and homemade lemonade available.
The po boy sandwich was mediocre, the wings were low quality and meatless, and the lemonade was just okay but not fresh. The wait time was very long, 20 minutes in total. I would recommend saving your money and going to a Korean fried chicken place for better options.
