Tal-wi-wi Lodge - Alpine

The rooms were small, dark, and felt a bit stifling. Upon arrival, there was virtually no service available; we couldn't find any signs indicating where to check in or collect our keys. The restaurant and bar have apparently been closed for four years, yet this information is not reflected on the website, signage, or in the room details. On the positive side, we had our dog with us, and there was a door leading directly outside, along with a few chairs and a table on the veranda. Some local roads were easily accessible for walking the dog. However, overall, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Additionally, finding vegetarian food options nearby is practically impossible.

I was really looking forward to escaping the heat. We chose this resort because it advertised having a restaurant and a salon on-site, but that turned out to be false—it’s been closed for several years! We felt the cabin was overpriced, but we were willing to pay because we thought we wouldn't have to drive for food and drinks. Fortunately, we had a kitchen in the cabin! However, we had to call a random number to get directions to our cabin. The person on the other end couldn’t provide clear instructions since our cabin wasn’t marked on the map. Everything about this experience was frustrating! Next year, we’re heading to Greer instead!

Additionally, the coffee maker in our room was dirty, filled with bugs and hair, and there was no coffee provided. There was no office staff to assist us, and we found there was no ice available in the freezer. To make matters worse, the room next to us had only one towel for four guests. An elderly lady had a fall and broke her hip, and it was difficult to provide help in that situation. On a positive note, our room was clean. However, given the overall experience and the amount we spent, we won’t be returning.

Wonderful little place that welcomed us after a full day of riding. Nice economical rooms clean and functional. Nice restaurant close by as well as 24 hour gas which is critical on a motorcycle. Can't wait to come back through again! Thank you!

Terrible! müllcontainer were flooded with dead fish in them. incredible smell! place looks abandon, don't believe, website photos..red veranda, security risk.Restaurant, salon leave. no employees in front of location, they remember at the door with number to call in case of need. we never called back a call. we were just there, no telephone service. we're gone the next morning. back website is not what there is anyway! You should film a scarf movie there?
