The Mountain Grill - Alpena

This is probably the BEST restaurant we 've been to in the recent short staffed, terrible service era. Service and staff are excellent! Everyone is over friendly, treating you like you 're the only customer in the place. We were there on a busy Fridaybut were seated right away (came before 6). The food is excellent! I had chicken alfredo and my husband had a deep dish pizzaplus cheesy bread for an app. I wish this place was close to home for us because we 'd probably be here every week butunfortunately, we were just passing through.

The skillet nachos are the best I?ve ever had from any restaurant! This is the perfect way to do nachos, so many places pile everything on the chips so by the time you reach the bottom they?re soggy, and uneven distribution of the toppings means youeither get a mouthful of lettuce or the cheese pulls 5 other chips with it, not here! You can just use your chips to scoophowever much you want right onto the chips and get the perfect amount every time, 10 stars!

Very delicious, highly recommended. Will be coming back soon. Food is so good, can't wait to try everything on the menu!

A revisit and one to remember, great service, appetizer was giant and very tasty, dinner portions were huge and spot on for flavor. If I had one constructive criticism it would have to be the timing of the food, didn't have enough time to finishappetizers, soup and salad before the piping hot meals were brought to the table.

I was very pleasantly surprised by our visit here. The decor gives off a very different vibe than the food suggests. We came in with a group of 5 right at dinner time and were told it would be a 25 minute wait. Not having been here before, I was nervous because every time I've been told it would be 25 minutes, it was more like 45 minutes to an hour wait. We waited no more than 20 minutes and our table was ready. Service was fantastic. Everyone who works here really hustles and they all seemed so happy to be there. We were so well taken care of. 10/10. We started with the fried pickle chips to share, and they were good. I had the chicken fajitas and tried some of the rattlesnake Mac and cheese, which is what I would have gotten if I didn't get the fajitas. The food was delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to get either again. We will definitely be back.
