Forestvale - Alonnah

The restaurant offers a beautiful and simple lunch with a stunning view of a private forest. Bruny Island is fortunate to have such a talented couple, Ruth and David, at their Design Centre.

Nestled among the trees on the south island, this restaurant offers beautiful north-facing views. Despite arriving late, we were warmly greeted by the owner. If you prefer your coffee made with an espresso machine, I would recommend avoiding ordering coffee here as it was quite weak plunger coffee. While a bit pricey and not to my taste, the muffins were delicious and the artwork on display was interesting, although not personally to my liking.

This restaurant is a wonderful hidden gem with stunning views and a tranquil setting. The food, coffee, and artwork are all top-notch. Make sure to stop by if you see the 'Open' sign on the main road.
