Mohan's retreat - Almora

We stopped over here for a cup of tea when we were staying in Club Mahindra Binsar. This place has amazing views. It has outdoor and indoor seating. We chose outdoor seating and had birds visiting us as we drank tea. The menu looked good with a lot of variety but to be honest we didn't try anything else as we were already full. The place has amazing ambiance and I would definitely want to visit again on an empty stomach.

For long, I believe, this was the place to come to, if you wanted to have cold coffee and Indian-Chinese food. Today, it is a charming outlet that has a beautiful view, a relaxed atmosphere and most importantly, clean washrooms. The food is average, but the service is charming and prices reasonable. The place also has boarding, though we just stopped there for a quick lunch. Worth a visit.

There are not a lot of restaurants in Binsar area and this one stands out because of the location, the restaurant has good ambiance with options of indoor and outdoor seating options(pics attached). Its located in the premises of "Mohan's Binsar Retreat" which looked like a very decent B&B to me.We chose to order a mix of Indian food- Roti, Yellow Dal and curry as well as Italian- Chicken Pizza and Chicken Pasta. The Pizza and Pasta were definitely good but were on the pricier side. Indian food were good too and arrived much faster than the Italian food. Great food. We ordered Mix vegetables, roti and coffee. Everything was super yummy. The view from the deck was amazing. We loved playing with a very cute friendly cat who gave us company at lunch.

Avoid Shakushuka. Oreo monster shake is delectable. Pasta is a must try. Toilets are okay. Pasta is also fine.
