Casinhas No Monte - Almodovar

We were traveling in the motorway and decided to see the restaurants near by, we came across this restaurant in google maps and decided to try it out. Even though is hidden from the public the place was packed. And no wonder the food was DELICIOUS it was like a home cooked meal from your grandmas house The owners are super sweet and welcoming , if you are near by you should try it, this is NOT your “normal restaurant” this has a countryside vibe to it, and you really feel you are in PORTUGAL. We ordered 2 main meals and that was enough for 2 adults 2 kids

We stumbled upon this restaurant quite by chance having taken a diversion off the motorway. Family run, charming Maitre D such good value. If only there were more places like this off the M25. Traditional Portuguese food my son loved the vegetable soup and the best fried potatoes we've had in a long time.

This place is adorable. The that own the place are adorable. The cat that stays outside is adorable. Food is great, and owners are very friendly. We were driving back to Lisbon from Algarve and needed a quick snack and a coffee/beer. Very happy we have this place. Would go out of my way to come here again. Please pet the cat.
