O Texugo - Almada

Excellent bacalao (cod) on the grill, delicious cheese and wine. The dessert selection is very good. Beautiful terrace and a beautiful interior. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Easy to park nearby. Very recommended!

Texugo is a modest restaurant located in Sobreda, Almada, outside the touristic areas. This restaurant offers very good grilled dishes, both meat and fish, along with fair prices. The restaurant is quite old, but offers a terrace that is quite OK for night time (dinner), especially during the summer. Enjoy!

It was not my first time there, but was one of the best. The portions were big, the wine fresh and young, doing the dinner exceptional. We asked for roasted octopus with potatoes and roasted cod fish with potatoes à lagareiro (means roasted with many olive oil) and drunk fresh green wine. It was phenomenal! We asked four portions for six persons and we brought food for home. In the end, we ate special desert of Chef Artur, a kind of coffee pudim, that tasted sweet and soft. The bill was around 20 euros per person. If you are thinking in your next time in Portugal fell like a Portuguese, paying not so much, I recommend leave the touristic routes and have a meal in this restaurant. It 's outside of Lisbon, in Almada. You can take a boat in Lisbon until Cacilhas (nice trip), take a bus, taxi or uber until the restaurant. Or you can rent a car and put the address in GPS. Enjoy it! P.S. when you arrive, ask first for Chef Artur 's desert and reserve it! Sometimes they just disappear!

Ambiente tranquilo, espaço agradavel e arejado, muito limpo. Atendimento de qualidade, funcionários atenciosos, simpáticos e muito dedicados aos clientes... Pratos de qualidade e bem confeccionados... A carvoada é algo de muito agradavel, conta com uma selecção de carnes com qualidade superior... Recomendo inequivocamente.

Refeição agradável, qualidade dos produtos acima da média. Pedi espetada de picanha e a minha esposa pediu espetada de tamboril, ambas cozinhadas no ponto, as sobremesas eram top e finalizamos com café. Certamente uma experiência a repetir.
