We stopped here for dinner after our long hike through Fundy National Park.
We stayed in Alma for several nights late-July/early-August as a base for the Fundy National Park and to take advantage of the plentiful lobster. Before stopping to eat at the Alma Lobster Shop we'd shopped around the other available options - the ALS offered the best value for money, that is a 1.5lb lobster dinner for C$26+tax compared with say a 1.25lb lobster dinner for C$40+tax elsewhere. They were very busy when we turned up at about 6:45pm but we didn't have to wait too long for the food. True, the ALS is not a 'full service restaurant' and more of a snack bar with plenty of picnic tables, but in return for a few less omissions (table service / posh tablecloth / etc. / etc.) they offer excellent value for money and we had the best lobster in Alma without a doubt. We tried one or two other places other nights but ALS was the best of them all.
Decided to visit Alma Lobster Shop as I had read many rave reviews on here about the lobster roll. It was very good and reasonably priced. They have a variety of fresh seafood ready to purchase to take home as well as a full menu for folks who want to dine in. The gift shop also has a wide variety of gifts for that special someone back home. I highly recommend this location!
After a long day of hiking and activity we stopped here to get take out for dinner. We were after a great lobster roll and this did not disappoint. Many people were seated at the outdoor picnic tables, but we were happy to wait 10 minutes for our lobster rolls and take them to our chalet at the beautiful Fundy Highlands. Meaty and tasty lobster roll and quick take out service.
