My first impressions were positive: the place was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We were greeted by a well-dressed young lady who asked if we had a reservation. We arrived early, so we decided to have a drink in the lounge while we waited. We didn't have to wait long before we were seated at our table. I noticed an empty table by the window and asked if we could move there since it was a nice evening. The staff happily accommodated our request. The food was delicious, with the risotto being a standout and my friend thoroughly enjoyed her grilled chicken. We finished off the meal with homemade desserts, the Sticky Toffee Pudding was especially lovely. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and I haven't felt this good about a place in a long time. The staff were all welcoming and friendly, dressed neatly in pretty blouses and had lovely smiles. I definitely plan on returning soon!
I went to this restaurant for the first time on a crowded Saturday night. The food and service were both fantastic. The prices were affordable considering the quality of the food. I definitely plan on coming back again in the future.
I definitely suggest this restaurant for all people in the lake district it has delicious gluten-free and vegetarian 6 the service was lovely and they assisted you when you needed.
Excellent meal and service. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Well worth a visit and would definitely return.
We visited today and would’ve given four stars. Food was good and the young girls waiting on lovely and pleasant. We were just disappointed with the choice on the menu. We all perused the menu and were all a bit stuck for what to have so decided to ask what was on the specials (as printed on the menus ‘ask staff for special starters and mains’ and were told there weren’t any. Soo… back to the menu. Pie is usually a good option but lamb, black pudding and haggis didn’t tempt us. We used to really enjoy coming here when the menu included some good old faves like steak pie, sweet and sour chicken and lasagne might just be us but we feel the menu has gone a bit too ‘fancy’ so don’t think we will return. Sorry.
