Syb's West End Deli - Allentown

We were very impressed with our breakfast! The people were very nice and the good was great. We will definitely be coming back. I would recommend the cream cheese and chive omlete.

Why did it take me so long to give Syb's a review? A quaint, kind, delicious spot... Good prices and just a delicious, relaxing time. Breakfast or lunch...I never know what to get ? ?. It's all so good!

The restaurant is experiencing severe inventory issues. This morning, when I tried to order a pound of corned beef and 1/2 pound of pastrami, I was informed that they did not have enough of either available. It seems that they are struggling to keep up with demand, with the weekend still ahead. It appears that if they get busier than expected during the week, they are unable or unwilling to restock. This is not the first time I have encountered this problem. A few weeks ago, when I ordered deli meat and a loaf of rye bread, I was told that I would need to order rye bread on Mondays if I wanted some. It is frustrating to be limited in my choices by the restaurant's inventory management issues. I generally try to support local small businesses, but unfortunately, Sybs has not been able to meet the needs of their local community customers. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

I stumbled upon Syb's while looking for breakfast during a short stay in Allentown, and what a fantastic find it was! The food was excellent, the service was great, and the owners were lovely. I tried a crepe filled with scrambled eggs, topped with a delicious cheese sauce and scallions—it was incredibly tasty. My wife ordered the Nova platter, which was also outstanding. We also purchased some items from the deli and were pleasantly surprised by their whitefish salad. We've had our fair share of whitefish, but both of us agreed that this was possibly the best we've ever had. Despite living outside of Philly, we are already looking forward to returning to Syb's, even with the 40-minute drive. This small, old-fashioned deli may have limited seating, but the food is truly exceptional.
