This restaurant is a lovely, tranquil, and upscale place that features an impressive selection of wines and a variety of gift options. I really enjoy their Pinot Grigio and the welcoming atmosphere. I plan to return soon, perhaps for a tasting!
Make sure to avoid the winery at 5 PM. According to their website, they’re open until 5:30, so we arrived at 4:50 and ordered wine flights. Around 5:10, the owner came out to clear our empty glasses and told us to finish our drinks. We were polite and didn’t cause any issues. By 5:32, after finishing our drinks, the owner told us we had to "take the road down." I found this comment and the way it was delivered quite upsetting.
Let me begin by saying that I bought many cases of their wine, personalized bottles in 1998 for my wedding favor. It was wonderful wine at that time or I wouldn't have bought it. Fast until this weekend at the Allentown Fair. I brought my 23 daughter and thought she would like to taste the wine of me and the wedding of her deceased father. Okay, so I'll explain one of the women behind the counter. She says I'm sorry we don't make tasting, but you can buy a glass of wine. As she tells us, we can see the other woman clearly, giving tasting for a couple that keeps her child down into the counter. I wanted to buy some bottles when my daughter liked it, but then we saw it! We just started going away because we were both a little upset about how to treat fools. We saw clearly how the older woman looked at the woman who gave the tasting, and she said yes, I know. And they both looked at us when we left to see if we really understood it. That made me and my daughter feel so bad. Honestly, I would never buy from them. Obviously we didn't look good enough to help them. Your loss. I can afford much better wine, then they can offer, but they ruined the precious nostalgia of the moment for us.
