Asia - Allentown

My friends recommended this restaurant, so we decided to visit on Saturday night. The place was packed, and it reminded me of Chinatown in NYC with its lively atmosphere. It was quite loud, and the tables were really close together. The food was tasty, though a bit on the salty side; it had that authentic Chinese flavor rather than the typical American sweetness. The presentation was also impressive. However, it seemed like there was only one server on duty. He took our orders and delivered our food, but we had to search for him whenever we needed assistance.

We have been taking over from the Asian restaurant for years and have loved it absolutely. we had no more eating in a few months. we have the same things we always have and it was terrible. they must have changed chefs or have cut off something. we will never order from there again. I am so disappointed because we had no good Chinese restaurant until asia opened. if they have cut to save money, they will lose money in the long term. fyi not get the boneless ribs, absolutely terrible!

Asien is one of the best Chinese food spots in the Lehigh Valley, offering a delightful variety of dishes from several other Asian countries, including Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, and Indonesian cuisine. Despite the diverse menu, they manage to prepare everything remarkably well. They also serve some unique fusion dishes, like Chinese kimchi, which is wonderfully less spicy than traditional Korean kimchi. I've visited a few times, and I've always left feeling satisfied without the heavy feeling that often comes from fried foods. The service is prompt and attentive, although the atmosphere has a cozy, home-like feel that may not appeal to everyone. Personally, I find it a bit too intimate, but it’s not a major downside. Each time I’m there, I always end up taking leftovers home in a box. They also offer a great lunch special, with options starting as low as $6 if you arrive before 3 PM.

I had high hopes for this restaurant after reading all the great reviews. However, I wouldn’t recommend going for lunch because the head chef is there but doesn't seem to do much cooking. As a former New Yorker, I consider myself well-versed in Asian cuisine, and I have to say that their meal offerings were quite disappointing.

One would not know the great things in store based on the simple looking restaurant exterior. On the inside a treat for the taste buds is found. It is more than just a take out joint, it is a dining experience. If you have tried the rest, now try the best.
