Shiawase - Allen

This sushi place is a lot of scavengers to non-Asiates. their rolls lacked this taste that most sushi places have. it didn't make me happy when I ate it. they were a good size, which is why they are a little more expensive than other sushi sites. it was nothing special I was very disappointed. it had done so great reviews, but very much under in taste. their female employees were amazing! they need an enormous increase for how much they do and how quickly it is done. I never saw her feminine staff standing around, doing nothing. it is a very lively place with many take-out orders, so they expect you to eat one because to them. I would drive the extra 10 minutes to a sushi place in plano if they were looking for something better.

I visited Shiawase twice but probably won't be returning. The first time, the food was excellent, and although it’s a bit pricey, I felt it was worth it. I’ve attached a photo of a fresh roll I received right when it was served. Unfortunately, my order was incorrect, and despite the timestamp on the photo, the restaurant hasn’t offered any refund. They just left the avocado out instead of providing a proper replacement, which was quite disappointing. The second roll I tried had decent green avocado, but overall, this level of service is unacceptable—especially when the special rolls cost $20.

On Saturday evening, March 5, 2022, I went out for dinner with my friends and tried the tuna tower, volcano roll, and titanic roll. Unfortunately, I ended up feeling quite unwell afterwards, and I'm not sure which dish caused it. There are so many fantastic sushi places in the area that I was really looking forward to trying something new. However, I was disappointed by the quality of the food—it made me ill, which is unacceptable. Additionally, the water we were served tasted awful, and my lychee martini came in a chipped glass. I won’t be returning, and I feel it's important to share this experience to warn others, as food poisoning is no joke and should never occur in a restaurant.

The quality of this place is really on what it was earlier than it opened first. the environment was very welcoming and real. Now it feels like we're just going in and out as soon as possible. sushi is still good. but the environment is meh.

The sushi was excellent! I enjoyed the chirashi bowl, and the sashimi was particularly tasty. The miso soup was a bit on the sweet side, possibly due to the miso paste used. The dinner side salad was delightful, dressed with a sesame soy vinaigrette. The chicken teriyaki was also very good, and the portion sizes were just right. The bento box featuring teriyaki chicken and tonkatsu was enjoyable as well. Plus, the kids' meals were served in adorable wooden three-piece bowls.
