Village Inn - Allegan

Second time being at this restaurant, visiting from out of town. But this place feels really homey and the hosts are attentive and come by to check on you. I ordered The Hungry Man and did not disappoint everything was so delicious, and filling. Although it was busy they do have plenty of seating available. It gives truth to that small town restaurant with good food. If I were to visit again I would come back and try another food menu.

I like village inn. I've been going since I moved to Allegan,which was about 6 years ago. The food has always been good. The service is amazing, with fair prices. And I just love the comforting ambience and vibe of the place. It's always great for a quick bite, with might I add, amazing coconut creme pie!

If you want to leave on a full stomach this is the place to go. They have a wide selection of food. Dinners come with a trip to the salad bar. Burgers and sandwiches come with either coleslaw applesauce or cottage cheese and choice of potato. They don't have the best steak but their prices are the best. Décor could use an update and bathrooms could use a remodel. Staff are like ants busy busy busy. You'll meet allot of locals here and they have friendly smiling faces.

Paige was a great waitress just fyi We had heard it had a great salad bar and while we expected a wide selection huge salad bar it was small but everything on it was fresh and in fact very good (the only reason,other than the waitress, it got three stars not two). We ordered fried mushrooms mistake I had lasagna which had maybe three noodles about three inches square and the rest was soupy. Had good mozzarella but otherwise it was not good. Hubby had two pork chops and one tasted fishy The breakfasts we saw looked great. No return trip unless it's for breakfast.

I went here with my girlfriend a couple weeks ago and I just have to say that was the best toast I have ever had from a restaurant!
