Butcher Son Public House - Aliquippa

We have always had a good experience at Butcher and Sons. Large juicy original burgers, awesome chili, the best tater tots (believe it or not). Give them a try!

Excellent meal here today! Our server (also the bartender) was super friendly and knowledgeable! We got their pretzel appetizer (LOVED the mustard), got a drink and a pop, a burger with tots (excellent burger) and a grilled buffalo chicken salad (gorgonzola was an awesome add), and a Ben and Jerry's ice cream sandwich. Total cost was less than $55!! Big portions of awesome food! Wish we lived closer, this would be a regular hangout!!

We just moved to Aliquippa and have been exploring restaurants in the area. Make sure you stop by here. Exceptional selection of beers on tap especially IPAs. Can't endorse any since I don't like beer. However, THE FOOD!! Started with soft pretzel sticks which were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. The beer cheese was fantastic with great beer cheese flavor and little nuggets of jalapeño to give a little zing to the cheese. My husband enjoyed the spicy honey mustard dip with whole mustard seeds. Next was our entrees. I got the steakhouse burger with caramelized onion, sautéed portobello mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and horseradish sauce. I was a little nervous about the horseradish sauce because I don't like spicy foods AT ALL. The burger was thick, moist, and flavorful. The portobello slices were enormous and perfectly cooked. The horseradish sauce was just enough to cut through all the delish fat of the beef and sautéed toppings! Not sure what kind of fresh bun it was but it held up nicely to this huge burger and complimented the flavors. Hubby got the chicken bruschetta sandwich. Bun was excellent, bruschetta was fresh and tasty, and chicken was cooked to perfection. Finally, our server (Gwen, I think) was friendly, attentive, and excellent guide through the menu! I would've given five stars but it was just our first visit so we will have to become regulars!

We had heard good things about Butcher and Son and wanted to give it a try. Every burger looked so good to me, I had a hard time deciding. I don't usually go for the BBQ style burger but decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. The burger was huge and I had a hard time getting my mouth around it. Haha! I also rarely get tots, but it had been so long since I'd had tots. They were so good! So crispy and delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful in making sure our toddler was happy and had everything he needed. Great experience and great food!
