Abbiamo soggiornato ieri sera a St. Marí. posizione molto bella in una piccola piazza vicino alla cattedrale e fuori dalla calce. Abbiamo scelto i 4 antipasti, corso principale e un dessert tra cui scegliere. ) ottima presentazione dei piatti, nonché menzione speciale alla cortesia e professionalità dei ragazzi in camera. raccomandato per l'entusiasmo tipico dei giovani che non rinuncia anche in periodi di difficoltà, per la qualità delle materie prime, per la presentazione dei piatti e non ultimo per l'onestà mostrata che avevo per errore pagato 100 eur oltre al conto mostrato e siamo stati prontamente chiamati per il ritorno di ciò che non dovuto! per il quale voto 10 e lode dall'antipasto al dessert e il dolce post che potrebbe certamente essere più amaro. Il prossimo!
Expensive and food underwhelming in flavour and portion size. We have eaten in numerous Sardinian restaurants and this has to be the worst and so expensive for what we had! Staff very friendly and attentive but food very, disappointing and portions small. Our meal for 2 which consisted of a bottle of wine, one shared vegetarian starter (glorified potato cake), 1 vegetarian (with what appeared blackened aubergine skin, which tasted like cardboard within it) and 1 meat pasta dish, bread and 2 bottles of water and all for €91. Not recommended if you want value for money and you have a discerning palate.
Our expectations where really high due to the raving reviews we had read, but we were so dissappointed... We also saw all the pictures of pretty dishes, but our 4 dishes only had 1 that looked the part. My partner wanted a small beer, but the only beer available was a 0,75 liter bottle. It cost € 15 and came in a wine cooler. It was really good, but why not also give the possibility for a smaller option? 1 of the antipasti was the viola shrimps. They apparently came raw, allthough this was not clear on the menu the words crudo and raw should have been in the discription . There was a light bitterness to it, which overshadowed the delicate taste of raw prawns. The pasta with razor clams: the clams were pureed into a sauce, which made for a grey looking and unpleasant fish. The sliced beef was just throen on a plate and was bleeding, so the meat had not rested and was tough. We where underwhelmed, to say the least. What happened? Did the chef have a night of? This wasvour 13th ! dinner in Sardinia and it might have been the worst. It was also the most expensive.
Came on our first night in alghero. We had the 4 seafood starter which was amazing. Very inventive. Followed by fritto misto- very good. Only downside was no menu but qr code instead which didn't work so the waiter had to tell us the menu.. which we overheard was slightly different in what we wete told about compared to others. Just print a menu? Regardless of this glitch this is a lovely restaurant with excellent service.
