Al 43 Di Via Doria - ALGHERO

Absolutely wonderful. We were greeted with a free glass of Bubbelly when we arrived and were treated as royal for the rest of the evening. Very friendly and personal service. The food was absolutely beautiful, the best I had in Sardinia. The location is particularly and tastefully furnished, very relaxed atmosphere. Very recommended!

A wonderful experience from beginning to end. The staff was very friendly, attentive and the whole place made you feel calm and relaxed. The food (starter, pasta and main dish), where really of high quality and delicious. Prices feel right for the quality you get. In summary: Authentic food, fine dining quality, relaxed atmosphere. We had a nice evening and will make sure that we will come to Alghero next time. PS: reservation recommended.

No. 43 is a hidden jewel in the old town. A varied menu with some really excellent choices, whatever you prefer. I usually don't like to recommend an exceptional restaurant because we don't want to find it fully booked if we want to return the next time. However, the hard-working employees deserve praise. Try the truffle paste....! Not expensive for so good quality kitchen...

A little off the beaten track but don't let that put you off. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We arrived early without a reservation but they let us wait until opening time on the sofa with the menu so we could try and decide what to order. Once sat at the table in this amazing building (seemed to be built into the cellar arches but on the ground floor they presented us with a small glass of prosecco each, which was a nice surprise! We ordered a burger each after reading other reviews about them and we weren't disappointed. I'd say it was the best steak (nevermind it being a steak burger! I've had in my life and I love a good steak! Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Fancy atmosphere but not all the guests are well-dressed so don't feel pressured. If you don't like truffle, avoid it: the place smells truffle from the entrance. An half-glass of prosecco as a complimentary welcome. We ordered the truffle pasta: not a huge portion but of good taste and quality. Dark chocolate mousse as a dessert with berries and a macaron: good mousse, the chocolate macaron was a disappointment, didn't taste much chocolate. The rest of the menu seemed interesting with original burgers. But we only heard the calling of the truffle
