Sanam - Alfreton

I’ve been walking past this restaurant since 2005 and never thought to give it a try because the exterior seemed quite uninviting and dull. However, my friends and I decided to take a chance on it, and I’m so glad we did! The interior has a lovely nostalgic atmosphere, reminiscent of the 70s and 80s. An older gentleman served us and suggested some dishes for us to try. I was truly impressed by the food! I ordered the desi style, and I recommend treating the older man with respect; he’s very attentive and will take great care of you.

The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I would definitely recommend dining there!

I visited Sanam for the first time last night, and I have to say it was the best Indian meal I've had since moving to Derbyshire! The gentleman I spoke to while placing my order was very friendly and clearly cared about customer service. The delivery person was polite and helpful. If you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine, I highly recommend Sanam. My food arrived on time, hot, and well-packaged. I was very happy with my experience, and I will definitely order again!

Absolutely amazing dining experience! As someone with lactose intolerance, I was thrilled to find that they make their chicken korma with real coconut milk/cream, which means I can enjoy it without any issues. I often order from here, and the staff is always so welcoming. The owners are wonderful, and the ambiance is perfect for a romantic date. The customer service is fantastic! I can't recommend this place highly enough—it's the best curry I've had in the last 16 years!

My friends and I were nearby and decided to give Sanam a try. We were very pleased we did! The staff made us feel very welcome, and we enjoyed a delicious meal. We would definitely visit again if we’re in the area.
