Tillies Icon - Alexandria

We recently visited Tillie’s Icon, a bar situated west of downtown Alexandria, and it was our first experience there. The space is small yet cozy, featuring both booths and tables, as well as barstools. I opted for the perch dinner, which was fresh, flavorful, and a generous portion for one. My wife enjoyed the crispy chicken wings, which were outstanding. There’s also a great selection of craft beers. Our server, Hallie, was friendly and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable.

I absolutely love Kaitlyn! She is a joy to be around while working. The food is fantastic and comes out quickly.

The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a great place to enjoy a meal and a nice drink.

Today, they shared a bit with my sister and took some home as well. I really miss them; it's a fantastic restaurant. I'm sorry I missed you both. Wishing you all the best!

The ground tenderloin is over 11 inches long, and the meat without the broth is nearly a quarter of an inch thick in some areas, reaching almost half an inch thick in others. It’s both moist and flavorful. The broth isn’t burnt or overly crunchy, and it’s served on fresh rolls with toppings of your choice. It’s definitely worth the trip from anywhere in the area. For just $6.99, you get a generous portion. I consider myself quite the eater, and I took two-thirds of it home to enjoy later. The staff is friendly and efficient. I’ll definitely be returning for more!
