Market At The Watergate - Alexandria

One of the many advantages of living at Watergate is the market and cafe. It's a well-stocked convenience store where you can save time and the hassle of going out to shop. The cafe is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner or for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. My favorite is pizza to pick up and enjoy at home. Great for residents tired of staying home alone where they can meet old friends or make new ones.

Very bad patrol services.pay 900$ every Month for cando fee.but they don't do anything.have 7 cars damaged in the are they did not find out how did it.And Neighbors are harassing us tehy said if you want you can call police we can not do anything!!????

I moved here 13 years ago, and have regretted every minute. First the security, what is supposed to be considered helpful for residents but actually makes the place feel like a prison compound. Secondly, all the upgrades and remodeling through the years. When I first moved in the façade work was underway, which I was not informed. I complained to my realtor who was useless (Remax in Bailey 's Crossroads), but it seems to me that a representative from Watergate should have informed potential buyers what was going on. My balcony was locked down from the outside for several months and I had to tolerate the mess and noise. When they finally opened the doors, one morning before work I heard drilling (when I was showering) and went to my living room and they were on my balcony drilling and lots of dust was flying into my living room. I complained but it did no good. Why they unlocked the balcony doors when the job was not complete is beyond me (I never complained once about the project). Thirdly, what bothers me even more is the perception that my home is a free for all and anyone can access at any time without me being home. I can understand if there is a leaking pipe that needs repaired immediately to prevent further damage (which happened once). A prime example is the HVAC room work that has been going on the past year. I get notices at the last minute that they need to enter my unit during the day, and I cannot be here. I cannot make these idiots understand I DO NOT WANT PEOPLE IN MY HOME WHEN I AM NOT HERE!!! DO YOU WANT PEOPLE IN YOUR HOME WHEN YOU ARE NOT PRESENT??? So once again I get a notice in my door today (Friday) that next Wednesday they will be coming in to work on the HVAC room a project I thought was completed months ago. Trying to call anyone (maintenance, the head of security) is USELESS because they DO NOT respond and DO NOT RETURN CALLS. A few years back I was going on vacation to California, and I try working with these people, so I asked at the front desk days before I departed for the trip if there were any upcoming projects with the parking lots because I did not want to have to deal with car issues while I was away. They stated no, there was no reason for concern. SURE AS SIN, once in California a few days into the trip I got a phone call to move my car!!! They were doing road re lining/painting. I asked why wasn 't I informed of this when I inquired, the response? Not our problem, not our responsibility (the typical Watergate response). I WAS SO FURIOUS!!! They stated they would have to tow my car (since I was away), and I chewed them out over the phone. When I got back I don 't know what happened but my car was not moved, I guess they worked around it, not really certain and I don 't care. The bottom line is that I am very disappointed, I wish I could sell and leave this HELL HOLE, but unfortunately I bought at the wrong time (2006) and my mortgage is still under water. So I am stuck. Actually I find that the entire area is not the most pleasant, the traffic is worse every day, thick traffic with lots of road work all the time which makes matters even more terrible. Then deal with assholes on the road giving more attention to their stupid phones than to the highway. I could go on and on but the point of this review is Watergate. It sucks. Go elsewhere. I gave one star because zero stars is not an option.

Chicken Dumpling is Love.I only come here to Eat that tasty Momos. Highly recommended.Most try at least once and you will crave for more.

Always have been a longtime fan of this place and i just had to post a review ever since the new management, food is GREAT and the service is too! 5 stars from me and heres to a long reign of the watergate restaurant and market
