Johnny Mac's Rib Shack - Alexandria

Drove past this place and knew it was going to be a great experience. We got a few chilli dogs, chilli half smoke, burger, onion rings, greens, bbq beans, and some ice cream cotton candy, pina colada, green apple, and butter pecan). Only gripe is that the large onion rings were lacking in size. That said it was the right amount so when we go back will be getting small. Ice cream wasn't to my taste but the rest of the family loved them. The staff was amazing, detailed, and quick. Granted there weren't many people in the shop when we went ~4PM on Friday) but for the complaints that I've seen in other reviews I'd have to assume they're just impatient people and won't be happy anywhere. Go check this place out!

Love coming here. I get the wings and fries platter or the ribs platter usually. The burger is good too. Always gotta get an ice cream too. I get mine with Reese's. They have a lot of toppings to choose from! This is my comfort food spot

Good food. Reasonable prices. They have ice cream! I like the rib platter. The strawberry shortcake is messy but delicious! Give it a try if you haven't been there before!

I’ve had their yummy cheeseburgers, fish sandwiches, and cheesesteak combos. The food is prepared fresh, hot, and tasty! Please remember to save room for the delicious variety of soft serve ice cream that includes sundays, banana splits and milkshakes!!

Looks like an ice cream stand, but they serve more than burgers shakes. My son inhaled 2 chili dogs and then after coming up for air told me how great they were. I went with a fish sandwich; they use regular bread instead of a roll or bun (white or wheat, toasted or not). The wait seemed a bit long but the food was hot, fresh and satisfying.
