Cafe 44 - Alexandria

Cafe 44’s brunch is fantastic! it's been on my hit list for a long time when I visited Alexandria. when I celebrated my newly engaged sister/cousin, I wanted to treat her to an unforgettable brunch and it was worth it. we enjoyed our girls time that she was excited to tell her engaged that they had to come here for date night, it is the prefect place for both! what a fabulous look at the potomac, the woodrow wilson bridge and even the national harbor. on the cool Sunday afternoon we decided to sit outside, the heating that helped from above, let them forget that they were on the terrace, but too time it became a little too warm, but better warm than cold. for mealtimes there is an option for the three course prefixed menu that comes with a brunch cocktail or appetizer, Entree and another brunch cocktail or dessert. we have only decided to à la carte as we both wanted to shrimp grits, an order of the French toast bread pudding and a bottle of rose prosecco shared. the shrimp grits were creamy, hearty and spicy to perfection and the French toast was sweet, savory, both delicious. the food and the intention were all! de’keithlyn our server was welcoming and let us feel at home. I can't wait to go back and add this to my rotation!

Cafe 44 is excellent throughout! our first time was with the city guests, our second was a date night, and we will be back soon!

As always, the personal was wonderful, the eating delish and the intention can not beat.
