All for 40 euros, perfect. Such a shame this delightful local Portuguese restaurant is closing down for good on 31st October 2022. The Lisbon owner who has launderettes and other businesses has decided to call it a day on this well run very busy place. Mega busy thru the summer day and eve, less so out of the season, but has catered for the local workmen and locals keeping us all happy for years. People come from miles away on Sunday for the only and best cabrito in the area. I am many others are saddened to see the end of an era. Also sad to see local Portuguese losing their jobs after years of service. Thankyou for always being there for me and others, you will all be sadly missed
Super duper lunch, i had wonderful veal in a delicious tomato and garlic sauce, one had turkey in a cream and mushroom sauce and another roast pork loin all with yummy rice , chips or boiled potatoes, bread n olives, washed down with white wine, coffees and puds, delicious, simple, tasty , unhurried, spotlessly clean , friendly staff, luv it here , thank you for always such good food.
We had been across the road from this restaurant the day before (at Celeiro), and said we'd try it! Honestly, it was fantastic! Bread and olives, 2 x prato do dia with half litre beer and half litre wine was 17 euros! The food was lovely. If you're up this way, try this place and/or Celeiro just be glad to get a table and tuck in!
We've eaten in and ordered food to takeaway many times from Marmitas. The food is very tasty good value for money. It's quite the traditional Portuguese restaurant with friendly staff generous portion sizes. I'll be using the restaurant again and again
Had to wait for a table as very busy. Special of the day was 'kid in the oven '. A delicious dish of goat in sauce served with rice, mini roasted potatoes and carrots. Beautifully cooked. Every table had the same dish it was so good. Hidden treasure.
