Very good food, simple but of great quality and flavors. It’s great to visit an unpretentious restaurant that provides delicious food for a very good price. We loved it! The cod fish with cream and the octopus were fabulous. The service could be better but it’s part of the deal, it is simple and ran by family.

Portuguese cuisine has won us over although we love the country. In large cities too often we were disappointed. The greater our joy when we went to this local place, quite ordinary looking, friendly and spacious, with a mix of tourists and locals, and tried the prato o dia. Plain beef, cut thin and cooked Italian style delicious with a savory sauce, plus feench fries and rice (vegetables are a rare commodity in Portuguese restaurants), and we ordered an extra salad. Plain good food! The Bacalhau was so-so, the turkey in contrast very good with a pepper cream sauce. The red house wine strong and tasty, the white one less so. So this is not a gourmet recommendation, but good local food- a meal for under 15 euros pp.
