Curious Toast Cafe - Albuquerque

I am sitting at a table in the cafe as I write this....couldn't wait one more minute to tell the people of Albuquerque what a gem of a place we have in our city! I have been wanting to try Curious Toast for months and today was the day.I AM SO GLAD I STOPPED IN! This beautiful historic home-turned-cafe brought an all-day-long smile to my face. The second I approached the front steps I felt a welcoming and eclectic energy. I was greeted by a staff of incredibly cheerful people who were clearly proud of the restaurant and happy to be there. Jadyn's patience and recommendations for this newcomer were so appreciated- and spot on!I went for sweet this time and ordered the Coffee Cushion. French toast soaked in coffee??....um YES PLEASE! I washed it all down with a delicious Biscochito Latte (Rocky suggested oat milk-

I've been coming to Toast for a few years now and seen how well it's evolved and grown. If you're on the fence because of reviews from a year+ ago, I can attest to their amazing growth, inclusion of local bread and produce as well as a wonderful staff who loves what they do! Coffee, atmosphere and delicious food (plus unique and fun ideas)...they have it all!

Second time coming here. First time was lovely. This recent experience was not satisfactory. My partner and I arrived and paid almost $40 for two plates, just for us to sit and wait 45 minutes for one plate. Out of politeness I waited to eat my meal thinking his plate would arrive soon. It did not, it took an hour for his (I had to remind the crew that his plate had not arrived after the hour passed)We were disappointed as everyone around us received their meals before ours. It was very busy and the crew is always friendly but I feel that there should be more hospitality and preventive steps taken to avoid this issue for next time. We had to eat our food cold and left feeling very let down.

This place is fabulous! Interesting food, great options fun atmosphere. This is a hidden gem! Service is good and you get what you pay for for sure! Highly recommend.
