My boyfriend had the street ribeye steak tacos with papas and rice. Everything was so delicious and the fact that a sopapilla comes with the meal for dessert, was perfect!! Sweet wait staff and a clean environment.
We were sat down in the back of the restaurant, and immediately noticed a smell of urine. I thought maybe the kid next to us had a wet diaper so I brushed it off. We looked over our menus for quite a long time before someone finally came over to ask us what we wanted to drink. During that time we could hear the table next to us and their server, apologizing profusely for whatever had transpired before we got there that should have been our red flag but we were hungry- we ordered chips and salsa and after about an hour finally our waiter realized that our food never came. He apologized saying that the ticket had been misplaced or fell so they were going to put a rush order on our food. I only ordered huevos rancheros, so it shouldn’t of taken that long but it still was another wait for our food and it wasn’t even good. My husband got brisket enchiladas and the brisket was fatty and dried out at the same time. It was disgusting. My food wasn’t all that great either but our server was so nice and kept apologizing so we just toughed it out, when he brought our food he asked I was there anything else I can get you like sour cream or guac, I assumed that these he was offering would be free because of our hour and a half wait for food, but no I was charged $2 for a little container of smashed avocado with no flavor. no manager ever came to talk to us, It just was very poorly run and I would never suggest going there especially with that smell of urine in the air that never went away. That was disgusting.
I will not be back! This has been a local favorite of ours for years, in fact we have eaten here once a week for years. Today was the last straw. The service has continuously declined over the past year, but today was just terrible. Water didn’t come for 15 minutes. We ordered an app, which never came. When our actual food did come (fajitas) they only brought out the meat. No sides, no tortillas, none of the fixings. We waited 10 minutes for the rest of the meal, which we asked twice for. Each time we’re told they are making it.but the staff was messing around laughing. The server knew we were upset, and said something to the manager who is also the bartender. In Spanish she asked if we had already paid, he said yes and she shrugged and walked away. She never came to talk to us to make it right.Very disappointed in them. I have tolerated a lot because they are local close to my house and used to be very good. Even with the continuous price increases (which I understand) but to add the horrible service and no regard for customer service. No thanks.
This place is becoming one of my go-to restaurants when I'm in Albuquerque. The food is always delicious, and tonight I have to give them major kudos. I walked in staving about 12 minutes before closing. They made me feel welcome. This was the end of a very long day for me, and it meant everything to have a great meal, good music, one of my favorite beers on draft (7K), and friendly service this evening.
Great place with delicious food. Had the taco bowl with chicken. I LOVE that they give you a seperate platter with sour cream, guacamole, and cheese, so you can choose how much you put in your taco salad.Food: 5/5
