Yesterday we went to the much praised Krone in Lautlingen. It started with the fact that we could only make reservations for 6 p.m. or 7:30 p.m., which is not very guest-friendly. The assigned table was right next to a loud group of women, normal conversation was not possible at all. (The operators can't do anything about that) We were then brought a small menu with a handful of dishes to choose from, which was very strange for us on a Saturday evening. The food wasn't bad, the portions were sufficient, but somehow there was some flavor missing and six euros for a side salad isn't a small amount either. The empty dishes weren't cleared away either. At the tables next to us we kept asking if we wanted anything else, such as coffee or dessert. They didn't pay any attention to us, apparently the other guests were regular customers. After about an hour we paid. That was a great Saturday evening, thank you very much!!!

Delicious food, a pleasant atmosphere and waitresses who are knowledgeable about food and drinks and can give advice accordingly great.

After my review from 8 months ago simply wasn 't posted, I quickly deleted it and reposted it. Although it is detailed, it is factual and does not violate any guidelines. You should already have the ability to take criticism, or at least a little feedback from the company regarding non publication!!! Once and never again. Everyone always raved about the good food in the restaurant, so we reserved a table there for the evening (8 p.m. . For me the evening was a complete disaster. The welcome was so so, the kitchen 's daily recommendation was written on a board which was propped up for presentation at the end of another couple 's table (diagonally opposite our table that was a no go because if we had been the other couple we would have gotten through would have felt harassed by the looks in our direction. My partner chose the artisan plate, I chose the traditional Heuberger beef roast with roasted onions and fried potatoes. After I was asked how I would like my meat and I like it well done , i.e. well done, I was cheekily replied that such meat would usually be served medium rare. That made my hair stand on end and I asked myself why I was even asked how I like to eat my meat?! Tastes are different, some like it rare, another medium and I like it well done. What 's wrong with that? The main course came and I had just tasted the first piece of meat (which was of good quality and we were asked if we would like to drink coffee or espresso, to which we replied no and that it was too late for us. After I tried the fried potatoes, which on the one hand weren 't hot and on the other hand tasted like the day before, the question arose to me as to how I could get enough from a piece of meat. At some point we were asked if everything was OK and I mentioned the thing about the fried potatoes. They apologized and offered me an espresso as compensation, but I didn 't want that and I wouldn 't have gotten full from it and besides, it 's disproportionate to what I couldn 't eat from my plate. Instead, the same side dish should have been served fresh or the price of the meal should have been reduced, but zero goodwill. By the way, we noticed a similar scenario with the couple sitting across from us when they asked for a coffee/espresso, and the waitress also made a mistake because she offered it to them even though their wine glasses were still full and that somehow doesn 't fit together at a late hour. One star from me because the meat was delicious but four stars deducted because we had to get a pizza from the kebab shop afterwards because I was hungry and the second star because everything was fine for my partner. but it was nothing more. All in all, it 's a complete disaster and my partner will definitely not be persuaded to have another potentially disastrous meal with me in a restaurant again so quickly...
