Stay away from the club the manager is terrible and rude and has no respect for contractors or staff.
Gone are the days of affordable club meals. Lunched here Sunday and forked out $25.00 for a meal. While it was ok it was not great. Steak can be touch and go and mine was. Sometime restaurants can be better value. As I said gone are the days. Might try the RSL.
Since I'm newish to the area I've been checking out all the clubs in and around the Shellharbour area and have to conclude the Mountain View Brasserie in the Albion Park Bowling Club is the best by far. Sure some clubs might be more stylish having been recently renovated and some clubs might provide cheaper meals but Mountain View still wins out on great tasty food and consistency. The A la Carte menu has the usual club items on it and I've tried a some (Veal Scallopini is brilliant) but the black board menu items are a real treat. This time I tried the Slow Cooked Texan Beef; a big serve of sublimely tender beef with properly cooked veggies on the side (so many times at clubs the veggies are cooked to death). Wow.Don't expect a push club, just great food and really friendly service.
