Il Lago Pizzeria

This restaurant has all you could ever want in an Italian style restaurant. As a former chef I was always taught that consistency is key and believe me they have it. We started getting takeaway pizza from them from a recommendation and from the first bite we were hooked. Thin and crispy base a well composed sauce all your regular favourites and some fresh alternatives make the pizza menu to die for. On Friday night my wife and I had a rare occasion with no children and decided to eat in the restaurant and much like the pizza we were more than satisfied I chose a steak dish from the specials board and my wife had the chicken scallopini. My steak was a perfect medium rare perfectly seasoned and melted in the mouth and it was accompanied by perfectly matched and cooked sides. My wife's scallopini was the epitome of classic Italian food accompanied with fresh seasonal vegetables including a surprise of roasted beetroot. Both meals were well presented and I say this without any hesitation that this restaurant rivals any of the Illawarra's fine dining venues and in my opinion even surpassed a particular harbour side restaurant where we had our wedding reception. It is safe to say that this will be our go to pizza and dining restaurant for a long time to come. And I would like to say a big thanks to all the staff who's excellent service helped make a fantastic Friday night for us Cheers.

Great local restaurant,this is a regular dine for us. The food ,presentation and service is 5 star. Prices are good and the staff are very friendly. The board specials are awesome and good to know if you really like a dish you can ring and ask to have on special board again. We really recommend the Roasted Pork Belly and Vegetables.... so Devine

Visited IL Lago Pizzeria a number of times. The food, service, atmosphere staff are first class. A great friendly place where you can sit back enjoy a great selection of pizza or a number of delicious foods. The prawn, chili hot pot is superb. The place to be for a great night.

Great food, great service and a super friendly non pressured atmosphere. clearly a passionate chef...he looks like he is loving his work and it shows in the food thats being delivered to our table. This place is such a great find. Hope your here for a long time.

Awesome food, awesome service... You will be seeing a lot more of me! The bruschetta was the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. And I am serious about wanting to kiss the chef's hahaha
