We had fantastic catfish dinners on Friday night. Despite having only one waiter, they were very friendly and did not rush us.

I ordered the half pound cheeseburger and it was amazing. The food, service, and atmosphere all get a perfect score of 5.

The food at this restaurant is good, but there could be more vegetables in the dishes. The service is for dine-in only during lunchtime. The price per person ranges from $10 to $20.

I was way less than impressed on first experience. *Updated with 2 more visits that were better down below. I took a chance of going to one of the fancy places in Albany for a takeout burger and fries. I usually go to the only franchise restaurant in town. Very depressing, btw. But that 's another story. Sadly. I was very disappointed with the ice house. I 'm taking care of my 80 year old mom after she fell and try to find some good food to bring her a little joy. She always shares. Pros: the meat was delicious and smoky. the burger had giant tomato slices which we are OK with, and yummy. the pickles were different with a sweet flavor, which is not my thing, but quite tasty. price seemed reasonable, about 10 bucks. order taker was nice Cons: ordering was awkward for carry out. Where did he go? Do I stay here? Is there an ordering window somewhere? the guy said it would be 20 to 25 minutes, which seemed long for a burger and fries at 1115 on a weekday, but I ran home, 1 mile away to take care of...uhhh, something. I was back in 17 minutes. He brought the food right out which seemed great. Drove home 1 minute away, 3 with getting to and from car. bun was cool temp meat was cool temp fries were awful. I understand that the franchise may be reheating yesterday 's left over fries, but not the fancy place. They were home made, which was awesome. But the were cool temp. They should have been very hot and doing in grease (only because home made). I am a frynasuer. They seemed to be microwave yesterday fries. Overall the guy was very friendly, the overall taste of the burger was pretty yummy, but disappointing, especially with yucky fries. I will try some other food with the hope that burger and fries is not their thing. *More visits Two Friday visits for fried catfish special, at lunch, on September 30 and October 7, 22. Quick answer food is pretty good and prices are reasonable. Catfish both times was delish, though basic. Not a bad thing. hush puppies were ok. fries were OK. Better first time. Thinner, not peeled style. They would be great right out of the fryer, though I don 't prefer skin on fries. And, they are never fresh fried in my opinion. Beans, first time, may have bean (being funny..lol) the best I 've ever eaten, and I 've eaten a lot of pinto beans. Sadly the second time was undercooked and didn 't taste as good. mom said the peach cobbler was delicious. All that being said, the prices are very reasonable and may be cheaper than the franchise drive through in town. The food that I 've eaten is good. I would recommend if you are not wanting your socks knocked off. Knocking socks off is usually more expensive anyway.
